The DonorTec team would like to take this opportunity to advise that customer support will not be available from 25 December 2008 and we will resume operations 5 January 2009. Please note that we will not be submitting orders to our corporate donors during this period so donation recipients should expect some delays. REDMOND, Wash. — July 9, 2008 — Microsoft Corp. today announced the global availability of NGO Connection, a new online resource for thousands of nonprofit groups around the world. Driven by feedback from nonprofit partners and years of experience working with nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), the online resource is designed to assist NGOs to more efficiently use technology to achieve their goals as well as to encourage networking and coordination of NGO resources across the world.

Although over 450 organisations have already completed our short survey, this is a reminder for those that have not had the chance to complete the survey to participate. We are very appreciative of all those people who have taken the time to complete this customer satisfaction survey, your input is essential to the team at DonorTec.

As many of you may already be aware, DonorTec is  renowned for time and again exceeding global expectations in reaching its quarterly budget allocation for Cisco donations well ahead of time. DonorTec customer support will be offline from 24/10/2008. The DonorTec team is moving offices and hence our email server and phone systems will be offline. We expect to be back in operation by start of business on Tuesday the 28/10/2008.

Please note that the DonorTec website will still be online and clients will still be able to register and place orders during our move.

Following the highly successful Connecting Up Conferences 2004-2008. Australia’s National Nonprofit Technology Conference Connecting Up 2009 ‘The Online Future of Nonprofits Are we there yet?’
will be held on the 11th-12th May with workshops on the 13th May. The conference will be held in Sydney (New South Wales) this year at the Brighton Novotel.

It is already shaping up to be one of the best yet in the Connecting Up Series. Last year was a corker in Brisbane and this year in Sydney has already attracted an exciting crew with more to come:

• We have the Managing Director of Microsoft Australia, Tracey Fellows, joining us as a speaker to talk about the amazing things Microsoft does in and for the community and some of their new directions.

Welcome to the Connecting Up Australia 2008 technology capacity survey of the non-profit sector.

Many of you will recall the 2006 survey we conducted, which proved extremely useful to those who participated and to us in advocating to governments for greater technology support for the charity, community and nonprofit sectors.
